The Killers Assemble

The soldiers began to assemble around 11:30. Their field commander, Brigadier General Robert Canterbury (standing in civilian clothes), told the soldiers before the confrontation began, "These students are going to have to find out what law and order is all about."

After that, the soldiers were told to "lock and load" -- insert a full glip of ammunition in their weapons and place one round in the chamber ready to fire.
