me oferhydige æghwær setton
gearwe grine; geara ic sceawade,
geseah on þa swyðran, ne me sylfne þær
ænig mid gode ongitan wolde.

næs þa þe mine sawle secean wolde,
þa ic to þe, drihten, digle cleopode
